ADMONISH MUSIC​

His life comes in lyrics and not just words is what comes to mind when ADM aka ADMONISH (Derrick Machado) is in your presence.  Born in the Bronx, NY (birthplace of Hip Hop) and raised in Northern New Jersey. ADM grew up with music all around him.  His attention to music was drawn from early memories of his sisters singing in the living room with their hairbrushes in hand to the Commodores; Earth, Wind and Fire and all the Motown hits.  All along he was studying to master the music by reading the liner notes of his sisters' albums.  Names like Gamble & Huff; Holland, Dozier, Holland & Quincy Jones were all too familiar; and when Public Enemy, Dr. Dre, Easy Moe Bee and Lord Finesses rose to prominence there was one more influence that topped it all----DJ PREMIER.

With DJ Premiere's fusion of Jazz and the Boom Bap, this helped ADM set out on a path of musical genius and it is here where his story intersects with legendary promise.  ADM began producing while simultaneously crafting himself as an artist.  It was at a New Jersey Nets game at the Brendan Byrne Arena (now called the Izod Center) that ADMONISH first realized the impact of being an artist while watching 2 emcees battle in the arena hallways. From this debut came his project, Life Family and Music.  Little did he know at the time that by showing up to the studio in the beginning with his own records, ideas, vision and extreme confidence that his study of legends would come full circle to foster his own musical creations. 

He took all that he learned into the recesses of his mind and years later it manifested in order for him to transition into a producer who is open about bringing emotion, personality and heart back into the industry.  None know this better than the artists whom he chooses to work with.
